How much does a ticket cost at your usual movie theater? Does the price affect the number of movies you see at the theater?
Submitted by Kristie.
Tickets are:
- Adult Evening
- $7.50
- Adult Fri/Sat after 6pm (*Price also applies to Special Advance Showings)
- $7.75
- Child (1-11) /Senior (62+)
- $5.50
- Adult Matinee before 6pm
- $5.75
- First Matinee Showtime Mon thru Fri
- $4.75
- Student /College
- $6.00
We only go on Sunday, during the day. That way it is only $5.75 and it isn't very busy. We saw "Wall-E" on Sunday and there were only about 30 people there. It's a good time to go with a group, that way we can all sit together.
Out of anyone in your address book, with whom would you most like to have lunch today?
My husband...I know I'm a dork, but I love to have lunch with him!
What would you like to accomplish this week?
- I would like to get my grocery shopping done.
- I would love to go see "The Happening" this weekend!
- I would like to pay off some of our bills with my loan refund check!
- I would like to help Scott stick to his diet.
- I would like to clean Claudia's room before she comes home.
- I must bring all of our recyclables to Team Green on Saturday!
- I need to dust the entertainment center.
- I would like to hang up two picture frames I filled up.
Not too much to accomplish since I did most of my to-do list on the two days I was off! I cleaned the entire house, including the bathrooms! Washed all the dishes. Washed, dried and put away all the clean clothes. Cut and weed-eated the grass. Dusted the coffee table, sorted through our magazines, and swept the whole house. I even updated my myspace page and did some blogging! :)
With everything that's going on in the world right now, what events/issues do you find most concerning?
The war in Iraq, health care, global warming and gas prices.
We need to get out of Iraq...that is a never-ending disaster.
Implement a universal health care system...if other countries can do it, so can we!
Do everything we can to stop global warming!
Find alternative energy sources that work and don't make things worse.
What technology has had the most substantial impact on your life?

Computers. They definitely changed the way I see the world and keep in touch with the world. I have been a computer addict since the first time I was on one! The internet just made them all that much better!!! I honestly could not survive without my computer!!!
If you had to participate in any reality show, which one would it be?
What Not To Wear on TLC. I would love love love to be on that show. I have just enough taste to never be on it though. I keep threatening to start dressing horribly just so I can be on it!!! :)
Which one book do you wish everyone in your life would read?
I honestly do not know. I don't read books that enlighten me. I read books for fun. Most of the ones I enjoy the most are fluff. They are fun to read. Kinda like a good sitcom or comedy movie. They aren't for everyone.
If you are curious about what kind of stuff I am into. Look for author's MaryJanice Davidson (Betsy, Queen of the Dead series, starting with "Undead and Unwed") and Kathy Love (the Young brothers series, starting with "Fangs For The Memories").

What event changed your life for the better?
Submitted by Kasey.
Wow. That is a hard question to answer. Several events that I thought were horrible changed my life for the better.
When I was 12 the man I considered my daddy passed away from a massive heart attack at the age of 46. He shouldn't have died. He should have had health care. He should have been able to be saved. He did die though, and I was devastated. I grieved for almost 8 years. I was an adult before I could talk about him without crying. This event changed my life for the better, because I never would have met my husband had I not lost my daddy. I never would have moved across the state to a place I hated. I never would have met the friends that introduced me to the love of my life. So, even though I lost the most important man in my life, it allowed me to find the most important man in my life.
In 2005 the state of Louisiana was hit by Hurricane Rita, causing me and my family to lose our home. We ended up living in a FEMA camper trailer for over 2 years. We had to start over. It was a great loss, but great things have come from it. I am a much stronger person now. I know that losing everything doesn't mean you lose everything. I still have my family and friends. I have friends that will be by my side for the rest of my life. I have learned that stuff is nice, but it is replaceable. I have learned a lot from this experience and it has allowed me to become the strong woman I am.
I also have to say that I think that losing my daddy has had an influence on my passion for nursing. I never wanted to be a nurse, but now I love the idea of being a nurse, of being the best nurse I can be. I want to make sure that people that should live, do. I want to help people like my daddy get the medical care he deserved. Seeing all the devastation from the hurricane made me realize that as a nurse I will be able to help some of these people. These two events definitely have made my passion for nursing stronger.
Where do you want to be in ten years?
Submitted by baby3194.
I want to be either on the west coast (California, Oregon, Washington) or in British Columbia, Canada. Would like to have a nice place to live, probably a condo or large apartment that is environmentally friendly. Plenty of money in the bank. Working as a registered nurse in a state of the art hospital. Wouldn't mind if I had a few tattoos and maybe a nose piercing. By this point, Scott should be pretty covered in tattoos. At least both sleeves and beginning a back piece. He should either be working at some cool job he loves, or staying home and taking care of the house and me. Claudia will be 20, so she should be in a good college pursuing the degree of her dreams while going out and figuring out just who she is. While still living at home if she wants. Hopefully we will have an all electric car and live somewhere that I can walk to 95% of the places I like to go. Yeah, that'll work. :)
